Not on the LITE side

It is late and I am heading out for the night; had to just blog a quick note.  This little sweetie just left our studio--her mom's cute friends gave her a gift certificate when little Miss J was born.  So, here she is at 6 months--she loves to eat and even had to stop the shoot for a quick bottle.   She was so fun.

Just to let you know that we are getting so excited--we have grown out of our britches here at Highlite--so, we are moving just to a bigger home here at Gardner Village.  I am so thrilled--I have even gotten the nerve up to call some amazing studios throughout the US and ask them about different products and design details for their studios.  Just a quick mention--the studio will have a cute nursery; family room; bridal room for displays--it will be just like coming over to my house for some adorable pictures--I can't wait--I am honestly not sleeping because I am so excited--

LOVE LIFE

This is such a wonderful little guy that we have taken photos of since birth.  We have grown to love his family so much.  The other day I was driving and thinking of how I have been taught about life from so many of the people that we work with everyday.  His cute grandma is so full of life and love for her grandchildren.  She never misses one of the photo shoots for her grandchildren; has one weekday that she spends with the kids--this is what I want to be when I grow up!

Miss South Jordan

So, we finished up our first beginning workshop and it rocked the house.  Everyone was so cute and fun--we left there just saying to ourselves how great everyone was.  So willing to learn and ask questions.  What a wonderful industry we are in.  We are so excited to see all the fun girls coming this weekend to our intermediate course.  The lab will be speaking along with our retoucher; Marc will be covering some studio lighting along with other various subjects. 

We also had an idea--what if we had an open forum for aspiring photographers at Highlite Photography once a month?  We are moving our studio to a bigger building at Gardner Village April 1st.  This could accomdate a bit more of us to sit around and discuss ideas; helpful hints, etc.  Let me know what you think about this?  We are still wondering if this would be a good idea?!

This picture is a recent one of our 2008 Miss South Jordan.  She will be in the Miss Utah Pageant in July.  Trista is such a cutie pie--so willing to help out and is very responsible.  She will be giving up her Miss South Jordan crown in April.  We will be there to photograph this event!  Love ya bunches!

Ok, so this is one of our favorite clients--she has been to us a few times.  This time SD came in for her son's baptism pictures.  So, of course, we did those and had fun--she left and shopped around the village and by the end, we had him totally casual and informal.  I loved this look!!!!  He was such a cutie.  He would only smile if we said "Girls!"  What a cutie.  

Busy day for us--we are getting ready for our beginning photo class this weekend.  Marc is so excited to teach everyone about photography.  I am excited for the yummy lunch that we are having over at the Archibald's Silo...and, I am thinking about what little treat I can send home with them.  If you are interested in the class, it is from 9-4 on Saturday and includes lunch (of course).  Cost is $99--we have ONE SPOT LEFT!  We also have an intermediate course next Saturday and have TWO SPOTS LEFT!  Call the studio if you are interested at 938-1991.  love ya guys!

BRIDALS at the Utah State Capital

Highlite Photography has finally figured out to make our blog look fab--thanks to a great brother of mine!  I am so excited to share this with you--so, here are some bridals that we just did this weekend at the State Capital.  I can't tell you how much I love it there!  So grand and beautiful for a bride.  What a great couple.  Marc and I were able to do this shoot together.  It really is so fun to be married and share the love of photography together.  I can only with N&W the same fun we have enjoyed as a couple for the past 17 years!

NEW LOOK

So, we have been hunting around for a new look for 2009--and, I think I like this one.  We are playing around with some fun new backgrounds and I am loving it--let us know what you think??
